Community Water System, our wholesale water supplier, has issued a system-wide Water Conservation Order. Their notice follows:
"Please help us conserve water! Community Water System experienced a mechanical failure on some of its pumping equipment that sends water into the distribution system. Therefore, due to the extremely high temperatures and high demand for water it is necessary to institute a Water Conservation Order system-wide until full pumping capacity can be restored.
During this time, please follow these guidelines: Please use water for domestic use only: cooking, bathing and other household needs.
REFRAIN FROM:
- a) Lawn irrigation.
- b) Power washing homes, vehicles and driveways.
- c) Filling residential swimming pools.
Community Water System is working diligently to repair the affected equipment and return to full pumping capacity as quickly as possible. We understand this is an inconvenience to everyone, but if we work together, it will ease the strain on the system. CWS appreciates everyone's assistance during this critical time.
Community Water System will provide updates on our system website at Cwswater.org and our Facebook page.
